Про "Волшебников" и финал четвертого сезона я все сказал на тумбе.
Как странно, что в "Волшебниках" совершенно неожиданно проявилась такая же хуйня, как в "Черных Парусах", когда шоу умудрилось додать ЛГБТ так, что собственно фанаты-геи сказали, что уж лучше бы не додавали. В ту же степь тропа "безопасного гея" записываем теперь Волшей наряду с Дирком и их ПантоСайласом... пантойласом. То, что подобное могут провернуть в "Волшебниках", да еще настолько отвратительно и выпустить еще такие (голосом Навального) омерзительные, лицемерные интервью... я такого не ожидал. Я ждал, что могут не додать, закинуть их по разным реальностям, чтобы они нашли друг друга... Я ждал полиаморности всякой, дразнилки с Элис какой-то... Ну, там частично показали, что ну как бы понятно, почему они с Элиотом держались за руки, но блять. Бляяяять... Ладно, у меня скоро урок, и я не планирую пускать слюни по отвратительному финалу. Всё, ребят. Для меня волшебники закончились на третьем сезоне. Четвертого сезона никогда не было, Элиот никогда не отшивал Кью. Все было прекрасно и замечательно.

В общем, не суть. Похуй. Подлецы в очередной раз ведут себя как подлецы.
Вот что я написал в тумбу:

So I`ve read Sera and John’s interview, and wow, some cynical shit. Calling deep emotional closure between two queer characters ‘artificial’ yet at the same time giving the same amount of closure to their heteronormative… sorry, heterosexual relationship was ok? Speaking of mentioned ‘hospital scenes’, that’s exactly how Q`s getting back together with Alice felt. It felt like some unrealistic, artificial, shoved-into-our-faces kinda thing. The fact that they had to create the whole episode with mind time-travel in order to get them back together was so lame and UN-FUCKING-REALISTIC from the point of good storytelling only, and I`m not talking about politics even…

Although politics-wise it was extremely unwise to sort of canonize Queliot in such a twisted unfulfilling way that they had to spoil what we had in 3.05 by giving in some extra story with Eliot pushing Quentin away only to never be with him again. And Sera and John even dare to open their mouths and say that giving Q and Eliot emotional closure would feel artificial?! what the fuck’s wrong with them?! It would only feel artificial if you’re a fucking homophobe! That’s the only case of it ever being artificial. If you’re not a homophobe that kinda closure would feel just fine!

Like, they have the whole scene of mourining a character by singing a fucking “Take on me”, and THAT didn’t feel artificial, no?! But yeah, having Q and Eliot lock eyes FOR A FUCKING MOMENT IN REALITY WAS GONNA BE ARTIFICIAL?!

I have no problem with major characters’s deaths, I have no problem with queer characters dying as long as the story they’d had by the end of their fictional life incorporates some emotional weight to add to the overall plot. That’s what we’ve been deprived of forever with those characters, and we know why. Because there’s no other reason why they didn’t give us the “sweet boyfriends being boyfriends” stuff between Q and Eliot in the REAL LIFE other than homophobia. There just isn’t. Had it been a woman and a man, well… we just saw what closure those plotlines get, when a lead charactrer is dying. Thanks, “Magicians” for reminding me once again that there’s “some artificiality” to my queer emotions. Thanks a lot, and fuck you.
